About
Terry Kneeshaw
Terry Kneeshaw is a British contemporary artist whose work explores identity, memory and the stories that connect people to places, passions and moments in time. Working primarily with acrylic on canvas, Terry creates bold, expressive originals that combine strong composition, texture and colour with a distinctive sense of nostalgia.
Best known for his football-inspired collections, Terry approaches familiar subjects through the lens of personal and collective memory. Whether inspired by a football shirt, a cultural icon or a simple phrase, his work is rooted in the idea that everyday objects can carry extraordinary emotional weight.
Each original painting is created entirely by hand in Terry's North of England studio. Layers of paint, distressed surfaces and energetic mark-making give every piece its own character, ensuring that no two works are ever the same.
Drawing inspiration from sport, popular culture, music and working-class Britain, Terry's paintings celebrate belonging, resilience and the stories we share. His work has been collected internationally and exhibited at leading events and venues, connecting with audiences through subjects that are both deeply personal and universally understood.
Every painting is a one-of-a-kind original, created not simply to be viewed, but to evoke memories, spark conversation and form a lasting connection with its owner.
